Gurugram Gurugram Police, in collaboration with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), announced the installation of 70 Video-Based Emergency Call Points across the city as part of the Smart City initiative. These call points, successfully trialed on 1 October 2025, connect directly to Dial 112, the Police Commissioner’s Control Room, and local police stations. Each unit features a beacon light for visibility and enables two-way video communication so citizens can report emergencies visually and verbally in real time. The system aims to enhance public safety and provide quicker emergency response.
